Question: Do you lift your bindings?
Are your bindings lifted? Do you recommend to lift bindings on teaching skis? Are your bindings lifted for off piste as well?
Valerie
Answer:
Lifting provides edging power.
Yes, my bindings are lifted, when I free ski and when I teach. It provides more edging power, and lets you get on edge more quickly. I find no negative aspect to teaching on lifted bindings. Off piste, because you’re generally not skiing on a hard surface, or at really high edge angles, I find lifted binding less important.
